Smile, Dammit!
Why does this man feel the need to control women?
Last night, I watched a video of the President deflecting and then attacking questions from journalist Kaitlin Collins. It’s a gross understatement to say that he’s one of the most vile human beings on the face of the earth. Commanding a woman to “smile” is one more way this president reveals his contemptible attitude toward women. This new comment belongs in the annals of misogynistic descriptions by the President, along with “ugly, both inside and out,” “quiet, piggy,” “stupid,” and his all-time favorite, “nasty.”
I happen to take umbrage over his latest insult toward Collins, as this was a comment I used to hear from men on a regular basis when I lived in New York and worked as a model. After a booking, whether it was in Tribeca, Soho, Midtown, or the Upper East Side, I’d walk home through Central Park to my apartment on the Upper West Side. It gave me time to decompress after a day dealing with difficult photographers, art directors, and ad agency clients. As I walked, I’d think about my life and imagine myself as an author, writing about the shitty side of the fashion industry and the people in it. Lost in thought as I walked up Fifth Avenue towards Central Park, a male voice would invariably jolt me from my reverie, shouting in an aggressive tone, “Smile! You’ll look prettier if you do.” I was lucky. I was not a journalist. So my response was always, “Fuck off!”
DJT: (Baggy-eyed) Yeah, what do you want?
Collins: On the Epstein files, you talk about Democrats who were in there. Elon Musk was also in there (DJT gives a dismissive shrug), so was your commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, and the correspondence he had with him. Did you read those new files that were published by the Department of Justice?
DJT: No, uh, I have a lot of things I’m doing. A lot of things. I don’t know. Uh, you mentioned two names. I’m sure they’re fine. I’m sure they’re fine; otherwise, it would have been major headlines.
Collins: A lot of women who were/are survivors of Epstein’s are unhappy with those redactions that came out. (DJT shifts his gaze downward and shrugs) Some of them, entire witness interviews are totally blacked out. Do you think that they should be more transparent?
DJT: (interrupting) They’re also unhappy with the fact that they thought they released too much. I heard that. And you’re telling me something else. So, uh, I think it’s really time for the country to get on to something else, really. You know, now that uh nothing came out about me, other than it was a conspiracy against me literally by Epstein and the other people. But I think it’s time now for the country to maybe get on to something else…
Collins: What would you say to people who feel they haven’t gotten justice, Mr. President?
DJT: (mumbling)…like healthcare and something that people care about.
Colllins: What would you say to the survivors who feel they…
DJT: Yeah. What? What did you say? Go ahead.
Colllins: What would you say to the survivors who feel they…
DJT: (interrupting) You are so bad. You are the worst reporter. No wonder, CNN has no ratings because of people like you. (Addresses the room) You know, she’s a young woman. (Addresses Collins directly) I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for 10 years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile in {sic} your face about, you know why, you know why, you’re not smiling? Because you know you’re not telling the truth and you’re a, you’re a very dishonest organization and they should be ashamed of you.
This professed MAGA “protector of women” is actually a weak and angry adolescent who hates women. He watched his father verbally abuse and dismiss his mother and chose to follow in his father’s footsteps rather than defend, champion, and support his victimized mother. Women, to him, are like his mother—willing take shit from their despicable partner. He’s been a bully all of his life. His niece, Mary Trump, recalled that when he was as young as five, he would throw rocks at the neighbor kids. Even then, he had a mean streak.
I always tell people that if you want to know anything about the President or Epstein, all you have to do is check with women, not men. Mary Trump lays out the root of the President’s psychopathy in her book, Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The World’s Most Dangerous Man. You’ll never wonder again why the President is the way he is after you read it. And to understand Epstein’s pedophilia and ability to elude detection for years, read Julie K. Brown’s Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story. Both men deserve to be forever linked to one another.
I am confident that the “grab ‘em by the pussy, three-time cheater, Cheeto-haired, baggy-eyed, predator will get his due, and more than a thousand women will be vindicated.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Couldn't agree more, JR!
